Higher Education and Career Consultant
Sharifah Hani Yasmin is a seasoned education and employability professional, currently serving as a consultant at Crimson Education and a recruiter with A Job Thing, an e-recruitment platform. Prior to this, she held positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur (BHC KL).

A passionate advocate for employability, particularly in empowering job seekers, Sharifah holds leadership roles as a WOSSO Fellow, Youth Mentor with Girls4Girls Malaysia, and Lean In MasterClass volunteer. Recognized as a UNITE2030 SDG changemaker, she focuses on SDG 8, which aims to promote full and productive employment and decent work for all.

Sharifah recently participated as an opening panel speaker at the Towards the World Summit for Social Development: Contributions from Asia and the Pacific, an associated event of the Twelfth Asia-Pacific Forum on Sustainable Development 2025, upon invitation by the United Nations ESCAP. Her insights have also been featured in well-known publications, most recently in The Star, where she shared her expertise on the topic, Office life goes social: Is posting about your working life a career boost or a professional risk?
In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, Sharifah founded One Step Closer, an employability initiative that has positively impacted over 1,000 Malaysian job seekers by providing them with essential tools to advance their careers.
With over 1,000 CV reviews across various industries, Sharifah now runs SY Professional Review Services (JM1006129-K), offering expert career guidance and tailored support to students, recent graduates, and professionals navigating the complexities of career development.

Managed the wellbeing and working sustainability portfolio within the Talent, Employee Experience, and Transformation team under Human Capital, focusing on initiatives to enhance employee wellbeing and promote sustainable work practices.

Corporate Communications Officer to the CEO, Social Security Organisation (2018)
Managed the CEO’s social media presence, implementing strategic communication initiatives to engage stakeholders on key topics such as social protection schemes and the expansion of social security coverage to foreign and gig workers.
